About Magnum Opus
Magnum Opus is the largest set of Apple hardware icons ever released. It contains over 280 icons from the Mac Classic to the iPod and no fewer than 4 million pixels.
We're constantly updating Magnum Opus with Apple's latest hardware releases. If you fancy taking a bite into Apple's past, just login and download it. You won't be dissapointed.
The Set's History
In this world of 128x128 pixel icons, no-one had ever thought of compiling a history-cum-icon set of Apple hardware.
Started in August 2002, the set took 18 months to make, and continues to garner admiration from all over the world. The set received full page spreads in MacUser, Macworld, Macformat and iCreate magazines.
The set was originally released on January 24th 2004, to coincide with the Mac's 20th Anniversary and since that date has been downloaded over 500,000 times.
